Went on a 1 day overseas trip with my friend Li Juan to JB. It was super fun and exciting! :) Because we never been there on our own before so its kind of scary for us. We worried about the things most travellers do. Like what happen if we got rob (touch wOOd), how much money should we allocate to each item so that we have enough to spend, how did we travel from Singapore custom to JB custom and from here back to there again... etc. Yeah. There was that. But we had fun. Didn't we?
We met up at 2pm at the Bedok interchange phone booth and took the bus 7 to Queen street, Bugis area as that is the only place that has the bus no 170 to take us to the Singapore custom checkpoint. Initially, we were riding well. But then due to my idiotic sense of direction, we got off 4 stops earlier and we had to wait for another half an hour for the same bus to arrive again. (The second bus was more packed than the first!) We finally reach the checkpoint at about 5 plus, scanned our passports and took the bus back which transport us to JB checkpoint. By the time we reached there, it was 6 plus already. People were squeezing and pushing their way towards the City link mall. We too, quicken our footsteps.
Once there, we went and exchange our currency. We each split the amount and headed straight towards the shopping mall. The first thing we bought were bubble teas from Cool Blog. It was around the same pricing as "Sweet Talk". Next we head to find food as our stomache were growling. We saw the Seasons and decided to try that. Their menu were similar to Pizza hut. We ordered 1 baked fish rice, potato wedges, and a hawaiian pizza. Even though we only ordered 3 items, but we still couldn't finished the baked rice and wedges. Hahaes. Maybe that was because we drank half of our bubble tea before we started on our food. If you have a chance to go the City link mall, you should try their Cheesy fish baked rice. Super nicee!!
Then we went on window shopping till we saw what we want to spent. We aimed and compared the price among the shops we visited and decided we should cut our hair at Thomas & Guy first before going back to purchase our desired shoes. Afterwards, we shop around till the mall closes before we head back to the custom.
:)
End of my pretty story...
